Important Installation Notes

Before fully welding the tube in place, install the tail wheel fork into the tube first.

Welding the tube without the fork installed can cause the bore to distort from the heat, preventing the fork from fitting properly. If distortion occurs, the bore may need to be reamed after welding.

The grease fitting does not need to be removed before welding. The installed grease fitting is a drive-in (pound-in) style zerk and can remain in place during the welding process.

Most rotary cutters use either a 1-1/4" or 1-1/2" tail wheel fork post. Please measure the fork shaft itself , not the worn tube. A worn tube may appear larger than its original size and could result in ordering the incorrect replacement.
